The Company

FAC, established in 1997, has specialized since its beginnings in the extrusion of EPDM rubber seals for the aluminum joinery sector, as well as for various industrial applications.

From salt bath extrusion technology to the integration of hot-air ovens, FAC has continuously improved its manufacturing processes and enhanced the quality of its finished products.

In 2023, FAC strengthened its presence in the sealing gasket market by introducing a new range of seals manufactured from thermoplastic elastomers (TPE/TPV).

Our Pproduct Range

EPDM

  • A highly resistant material to weathering, UV rays, ozone, and temperature variations.
  • Resistant to aging
  • The best choice for thermal and acoustic insulation
  • Good shape recovery and high tear resistance
  • A preferred choice for building seals, particularly for façades.

TPE

  • Combines the properties of both plastic and rubber.
  • Allows moderate stretching and recovery to its original shape.
  • Resistant to weathering, UV rays, and chemicals.
  • A good choice for colored seals.

TPV

  • A combination of polypropylene (PP) and EPDM rubber.
  • A type of TPE with a chemical composition that provides enhanced mechanical properties.
  • Resistant to repeated movement and tearing.
  • Resistant to weathering and UV rays.
  • At FAC, TPV is generally used to manufacture seals with rigid sections.

Applications

Application Areas

FAC manufactures profile gaskets for the construction sector (aluminium joinery, wooden joinery, etc.) as well as for various industrial applications (clamps, solar water heater panels, concrete pipes, meter boxes, etc.). To meet the specific requirements of each application, FAC uses different materials tailored to its customers’ needs.

Aluminium doors and windows, curtain wall façades. The gasket is generally flexible, but may contain a rigid section.

The gaskets are manufactured in different colors according to the customer’s requirements, hence the use of flexible TPE.

Clamps for gas or water pipes. Gaskets made of black EPDM or colored TPE, depending on the customer’s requirements.

Concrete Pipes

Concrete Pipes

Manufactured from EPDM, which is more flexible than gaskets intended for aluminium joinery. The hardness is generally 55 Shore A.

Floor, wall, or ceiling expansion joints: EPDM gaskets are perfectly suited to this type of application.
